About my shells
My designs are based on a combination of my own illustrations and those of selected local artists, as well as decoupage prints. I carefully select the patterns to fit the shells and then transform them using my own unique craftwork. Each shell is definitely handmade with love!
I finish my shells with a liquid gold leaf gilt or sparkly silver edging, and at least two coats of epoxy resin to make them hardwearing with a long-lasting high shine.
There are so many options for what to do with my shells. They make great trinket or jewellery dishes, ring trays, ornaments, hanging decorations, salt and pepper pots, decorative napkin rings, wine bottle decorations, jewellery and more. They are truly unique and environmentally friendly gifts.
They also make wonderful wedding favours, engagement and bridesmaid gifts, as well as anniversary, birthday, graduation, housewarming gifts and as special presents for teachers. In fact, any special occasion can be marked with a shell. Every shell is supplied beautifully gift wrapped and boxed.
If you would like a shell in a different size from the one advertised, then please do contact me. Or, if you have any special design requests, I will be happy to work with you on your bespoke order.
As well as the shells I collect in Whitstable, I source shells from local restaurants that would otherwise have ended up as waste. Always ethically sourced, I clean and sterilise each and every shell to the highest standards, also taking care to remove any pesky barnacles.
